My earliest memories of yoga date back to 6th grade, when my mom, who was teaching at the time, would practically force me to join her classes on school nights. I resisted at times, claiming to have homework or a project to finish, but she continued bringing me along. By high school, my curiosity grew, and I began attending classes on my own, finally starting to understand the true value of the practice.
Over the years, my practice ebbed and flowed as I moved through college then on to work in NYC, but returning to my mat was always a safe space, no matter where I was. Yoga served as an anchor amid the craziness of city life, a reliable way to turn inward and reconnect with myself. It wasn’t until I spontaneously left the corporate world and moved to Asia that yoga began to take up more space in my day-to-day life. While there, I was encouraged to visit Rishikesh, India, the yoga capital of the world. Somewhat hesitant but totally intrigued, I made my way there and eventually completed my yoga teacher training. Moved by the soul of the country and the depth of the yogic tradition, I spent the next five months traveling through India and immersing myself in its vibrant culture.
When I returned to the U.S. in July 2025, I began hosting free classes for close friends, eager to share my practice and a glimpse of what inspired me during my travels. To my surprise, those classes slowly grew beyond just friends and family. Since then, I’ve been honored to welcome students of all ages and levels into my classes.
Teaching has been nothing short of transformative. It has invited me to share my voice with confidence and show up as a guide for others to explore their practice. It’s been beautiful to watch my students embark on their own yoga journeys, and I look forward to continuing to learn and grow as this community learns and grows alongside me. Can't wait to see you on the mat!
